Payroll Accountant

Yango Group is looking for a skilled Payroll Accountan t to join our team in Pakistan (Karachi). The role involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Pakistan labor and tax laws, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain seamless operations.


You will be responsible for

• Gathering payroll-related updates from HR, processing them in payroll software, and posting payroll in Oracle ERP to generate staff disbursements

• Ensuring payslips are generated and distributed through the payroll system, and maintaining accurate payroll records

• Preparing salary payment instructions using ERP and coordinating with the Treasury to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and statutory payments

• Preparing and submitting withholding tax returns/statements and ensuring payments to FBR

• Ensuring accurate payroll deductions in accordance with tax and labor laws, and maintaining compliance with local regulations

• Conducting internal controls to ensure data accuracy and timeliness of salary calculations, and generating payroll reports, general ledger postings, and reconciliations

• Managing payroll for multiple entities within the group and responding to ad hoc payroll reporting requests from management

• Monitoring changes in Pakistan’s tax and labor legislation and ensuring payroll processes remain compliant

• Collaborating with HR on onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and other payroll-related matters, and supporting internal stakeholders with payroll-related inquiries


You might be a fit if you have

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, MBA Finance) preferred

• 3–5 years of experience managing payroll within an ERP environment (Oracle ERP experience highly preferred)

• A strong understanding of payroll processes, tax compliance, and labor regulations in Pakistan

• Experience in payroll software implementation or automation projects (preferred)

• A detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across HR and Treasury teams
