Payroll & Accounts Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for an immediately available Payroll & Accounts Manager who is dedicated, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence. The person will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll function along with core accounting operations across all campuses within the educational group. This role ensures accurate financial management, timely salary processing, regulatory compliance, and efficient handling of financial records.

Payroll Processing & Management

  • Manage and process monthly payroll for all teaching, administrative, and support staff.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses, increments, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records, including attendance, leaves, and employee benefits.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Handle income tax calculations, EOBI, social security, and other applicable deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to regulatory authorities as required.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate payroll data and employee records within HR/payroll systems.
  • Generate monthly payroll reports, summaries, and analytics for management review.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with HR for employee data updates, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Liaise with finance for salary disbursement, budgeting, and audits.
  • Address employee queries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits professionally.

Audit & Controls

  • Ensure strong internal controls over payroll processes to prevent errors or fraud.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Continuously review and improve payroll procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

Financial Management

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.

Reconciliation & Controls

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage fund allocations effectively.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard organizational assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in payroll and accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, and financial management practices in Pakistan.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
