Responsibilities
- Process payroll using various software systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Enter and verify employee data related to hours worked, benefits, tax information, and deductions with precision.
- Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger entries and account statements.
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with benefits administration tasks including enrollment, changes, and inquiries from employees.
- Prepare journal entries for payroll transactions and perform account reconciliations to support financial reporting.
- Support compliance efforts by staying current on tax regulations, governmental accounting standards, and payroll-related legal requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in payroll management or accounting roles involving payroll processing.
- Familiarity with popular payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes and non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency).
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and identify discrepancies or errors.
