Payroll Coordinator

<Responsibilities>

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using industry-leading software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian.
  • Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits within payroll systems and accounting software like QuickBooks or general ledger platforms.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to administer employee benefits programs and process related transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing tax filings and ensuring proper withholding.
  • Support governmental accounting requirements by managing accounts payable/receivable processes related to payroll.
  • Perform regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies, resolve issues promptly, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

<Skills>

  • Proficiency in payroll management systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, debits & credits, and journal entries.
  • Experience with financial software like QuickBooks or other accounting tools used for bookkeeping and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration processes and non-profit or governmental accounting standards.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze financial data effectively using analysis skills to identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Solid understanding of human resources processes related to payroll and employee record management. Pay: $27.53 - $33.16 per hour
