Job Summary

The Payroll Executive is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining payroll records, and addressing employee payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly/bi-weekly payroll for employees accurately and within deadlines
  • Maintain employee payroll data including salaries, deductions, bonuses, overtime, and leaves
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, income tax, gratuity, labor laws, etc.)
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns and challans within timelines
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires, exits, salary revisions, and attendance data
  • Handle payroll-related queries from employees professionally and confidentially
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and labor laws
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources
  • Certification in payroll management (preferred)

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Experience handling payroll for medium to large organizations is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO500.000 - RO600.000 per month
