Payroll Lead

About the Role:

The Payroll Lead is responsible for overseeing payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely salary processing in compliance with company policies and local labor regulations. The role leads the payroll team, manages payroll controls, and ensures confidentiality, accuracy, and efficiency across all payroll-related activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
  • Review payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, incentives, deductions, and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements
  • Validate payroll reports prior to final approval and bank transfer
  • Provide guidance on complex payroll cases and escalations
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll data
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
  • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee queries in a timely manner


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, with at least 6 months in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, tax, and social insurance regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using payroll systems (ERP/HRIS)
