Payroll Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Industrial Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team. Duties

  • Process payroll using industry-standard software such as SAP, Track, Great Plains and Ti Maven.
  • Enter and verify data related to hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits administration with precision
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger accounting and compliance with financial concepts
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll transactions
  • Conduct account reconciliation and analyze payroll data for discrepancies or errors
  • Assist with tax filings, governmental reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Support human resources functions by maintaining employee records within HRIS systems and updating payroll information accordingly

Requirements

  • Proven experience with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks and other financial tools
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards
  • Proficiency in data entry, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and bookkeeping fundamentals
  • Understanding of benefits administration processes and tax regulations related to payroll processing
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to identify discrepancies quickly and accurately
  • Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation using 10 key typing skills and technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience working within human resources systems (HRIS) such as PeopleSoft or UltiPro is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
