Payroll Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in payroll software.

****Current Hours 7am-12pm and once the we go back into our regular hours of operation you will be required to work 7a m to 4pm.***

Duties

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing systems such as Quickbooks Online.
• Maintain employee records related to payroll, including hours worked, deductions.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring all payroll entries are accurately recorded.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to verify the accuracy of payroll data.
• Analyze payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure employee information is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll expenses and trends for management review.
• Support accounts payable functions as needed, ensuring seamless financial operations.
• Familiar with Payroll Taxes such as 941's, OH Income Tax, City, FUTA, ...

Experience

• Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, with a solid understanding of financial concepts and double entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with financial software applications, Quickbooks Online, The Souce, OHID, .
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
• Experience in general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes is highly desirable.
• Previous exposure to human resources functions will be considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time
