Payroll Specialist

C&J is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with knowledge in Quickbooks to support our growing manufacturing corporation. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance, and supporting HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

• Maintain employee records and payroll templates
• Process weekly payroll using Quickbooks
• Ensure accuracy of wages, overtime, garnishments, and deductions
• Manage payroll audits, corrections
• Maintain compliance with federal and New Mexico wage laws
• Handle garnishments, levies, and child support orders

Qualifications

• Required: Experience using Quickbooks payroll system
• 2+ years of payroll and/or HR experience
• Proficient Excel skills
• Experience with garnishments and deductions preferred
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Skills

• Experience in payroll with over 300 employees
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office proficient
