Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with strong expertise in Paycom to manage and process payroll operations accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for ensuring timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, and providing exceptional support to employees and leadership.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll systems(Paycom), tax regulations, and compliance requirements, remote payroll coordination with out of state workers with a proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, using Paycom
- Ensure accuracy of employee data, wage calculations, deductions, bonuses, and commissions
- Review and audit payroll data prior to final submission
System Administration (Paycom)
- Maintain and update employee records within Paycom
- Assist with system configurations, payroll modules, and process improvements
- Troubleshoot payroll and system-related issues
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Coordinate payroll tax reportsset up, filing and ensure timely payments through Paycom
- Generate payroll reports for leadership, finance, and audit purposes
Employee Support
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related questions
- Resolve discrepancies and address employee concerns in a timely manner
- Educate employees on payroll processes, deductions, and benefits
Reconciliation & Auditing
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper recordkeeping
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Maintain payroll documentation in compliance with company policies
Collaboration
- Partner with HR and Finance teams on onboarding, offboarding, and compensation changes
- Coordinate benefits administration and ensure correct payroll deductions
QualificationsRequired
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in lieu of payroll experience
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Hands-on experience with Paycom payroll system
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
Preferred
- Experience in multi-state payroll processing
- Familiarity with HRIS integrations and benefits administration
