Job Description – Payroll & Statutory Compliance Officer

About the Role:-
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who will independently manage the entire payroll cycle and statutory compliance processes (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS) for the organization. The candidate must be experienced in maintaining payroll records, statutory filings, and ensuring accurate monthly & annual submissions.

Key Responsibilities:-

Payroll Management

• Manage monthly end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
• Maintain attendance, leave records, overtime, deductions, and variable components.
• Prepare salary statements, salary slips & bank transfer sheets.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies, queries & confidential matters.
• Maintain digital & physical records of employee salary structure and compensation.

PF & ESIC Management

• Register new employees for PF & ESIC and update UAN/ESI numbers.
• File monthly PF / ESIC returns and ensure timely challan payments.
• Manage KYC updation, withdrawals, transfers & closure formalities.
• Coordinate with PF/ESIC offices for compliance issues & inspections.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with labour laws and payroll-related statutory regulations.
• Prepare & file TDS on salary (Form 24Q) with support from accountants.
• Maintain annual records for audit and financial reporting.
• Handle annual returns, Form 16, salary revision records, and increment updates.

HR & Administration Support

• Support onboarding formalities related to payroll and statutory compliance.
• Maintain employee master data and records.
• Provide reports and analysis to management as required.

Eligibility Criteria:-

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce or HR specialization.
• Minimum 2–4 years experience in payroll & statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, Income Tax (Salary), and labour laws.
• Experience in payroll software / MS Excel mandatory.
• Strong analytical and confidentiality-handling ability.
