Pediatric Medical assistant/ medical scribe

Pediatric practice is looking to hire a bilingual experienced medical scribe who is also medical assistant. Must have experience being a scribe. EMR system experience is necessary, preferably Eclinical Works. Should have excellent computer and typing skills.

Would be responsible for:

• Preparation of patient medical record, update problem lists, history and physical information and review of systems.
• Accompany physician into patient examination room to transcribe and document accurately the encounter

Transcribe patient orders such as laboratory tests and medications

. Experience and knowledge needed in regards to verify commercial and Medicaid insurance, prior authorizations, check in/check out, able to answer multiple incoming phone lines.

must have experience and Knowledge of how to verify ,calculate And collect various insurances copays /deductibles and past balances

• Check in/check out patients
• Answer multiple incoming phone lines, assist with scheduling and confirming
• Verify insurances, have a understanding of different insurance companies and their different plans
• Obtain prior authorizations if necessary
• Multi task between assignments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
