1. Assist the Head of Talent Management in implementing and maintaining the Performance Management processes as part of the Talent Management Framework at the University of Sharjah by integrating Performance Management with Key Human Resources Processes including Learning and Development, Reward, Succession Planning, Deployment and Transfer, Termination and Exit, and Workforce Planning.
2. Mange the initiation of all phases of the Performance Management Cycle (PMC) for UOS administrative staff members, ensure that each phase is announced beforehand, and completed correctly and on time, and ensure access to all the required documentation and guidelines such as Performance Management Manual, Behavioral Competencies Framework, etc.
3. Review the final performance management assessment results and recommendations to ensure accuracy and adherence to TM policies and procedures. As well as review and assess the performance improvement plans, which address any performance cases, make the necessary recommendations if needed and refer all plans to the concerned HR team to proceed with the necessary actions.
4. Handle the promotions and rewards procedures, which include promotions, acting roles, merit-based increments and financial awards, and ensure that they are aligned with UOS’s Promotion and Reward, Succession Planning and Career Path policies and procedures.
5. Receive review and process promotion requests and supporting documents, and present completed requests to the Internal HR Review Committee for their review and recommendations. As well as communicate the committee’s additional requirements/instructions to the line manager and/or employee when needed.
6. Submit all requests approved by the Internal HR Review Committee to the Head of Talent Acquisition to present them to the Employee Affairs Committee for their final decision. As well as assist the Head of TM in presenting the requests to the committee and answering their inquiries when needed.
7. Establish and manage the “Performance Management During Probation (mobilization)” activities for new joiners in coordination with the Learning and Development Team, by following up with the concerned line managers after the employee’s joining date to ensure that objectives have been set and discussed with the new employee.
8. Train, coach, and provide technical/practical expertise to new employees in any related L&D processes to ensure they acknowledge and understand their responsibilities and tasks. As well as provide support and assistance to other team members in the TM section when needed as per the head’s instructions.
9. Support the Head of TM in successfully achieving the HR department’s KPIs by gathering the necessary data, preparing progress reports and ensuring that the necessary action plans have been fulfilled successfully.
