Personal Care Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and positive PCA (Personal Care Assistant) to work with an outgoing 11-year-old boy in Eden Prairie over the summer. This is a fun and active position that would be great for a college student home for the summer, someone pursuing education, psychology, social work, coaching, or anyone who enjoys working with kids and staying active.

The child is very social, enjoys a wide variety of activities, and benefits from extra supervision, structure, and support with emotional regulation. The right candidate will be patient, engaging, active, and able to build a positive mentoring relationship.

Responsibilities

• Providing supervision and support throughout the day
• Helping with emotional regulation and redirection when needed
• Driving to activities, parks, outings, appointments, etc.
• Encouraging active, screen-free activities and community outings
• Assisting with light household tasks and daily routines
• Helping maintain structure, consistency, and a positive environment

Ideal Candidate

• Energetic, outgoing, and dependable
• Comfortable working with children who may need behavioral or emotional support
• Enjoys sports, outdoor activities, games, community outings, or being active in general
• Strong communication and patience
• Prior childcare, PCA, camp counselor, coaching, education, or behavioral experience is a plus, but not required
• Looking for someone who can serve as a positive role model and mentor

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable driving the child to activities
• Ability to pass any required PCA/background checks
• Summer availability with flexible scheduling options
