Job Summary

The Law Offices of Michael J. Gopin, PLLC., is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Case Manager Assistant to support our Case Management team in one of our satellite offices. This role is ideal for an individual looking to grow within a fast-paced personal injury law firm while gaining hands-on experience in case handling, client communication, and legal administration.

The Case Manager Assistant will work closely with Case Managers, attorneys, and office staff to ensure personal injury cases move efficiently through each stage of the legal process. The ideal candidate is organized, bilingual, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining excellent client service.

Responsibilities

Case Support:

  • Assist Personal Injury Case Managers with daily case-related tasks from intake through resolution.

Client Communication:

  • Communicate with clients to provide updates, obtain information, answer general questions, and ensure a positive client experience.

File Organization:

  • Assist with structuring, organizing, and maintaining physical and electronic client files.

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule appointments
  • Draft and send correspondence
  • Collect and request medical records
  • Sort and file mail
  • Answer and route phone calls

Medical Records & Documentation:

  • Request, follow up on, review, and upload medical records and billing documentation as directed.

Intake Assistance:

  • Support the intake process by gathering client information and assisting with preliminary client interviews.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Case Managers, attorneys, and office staff to ensure deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently.

Learning & Development:

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn personal injury procedures, firm systems, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a legal, administrative, or personal injury office setting preferred
  • Prior personal injury experience is a plus, but not required

Language:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and professionalism when working with clients

Technical Skills:

  • Comfortable using case management software, email, and basic office technology

Certifications:

  • Certified Notary Public (Preferred, not required)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 (Negotiable based on experience)
