Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation.
• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms like Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant information for cases.
• Conduct discovery tasks, including drafting, supplementing, and answering interrogatories and requests for production.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including simple pleadings, discovery responses, motions, affidavits, and litigation correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records and manage case files through effective legal case management practices.
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for litigation.
• Perform data entry tasks to ensure all case-related information is up-to-date and accessible.
• Track and manage cases in litigation and litigation prep, ensuring all case details are up-to-date.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field; paralegal certification is preferred.
• Proven experience working in a law office environment with a focus on personal injury and civil litigation.
• Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research tools (Lexis-Nexis or similar).
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, e-filing, and maintaining compliance with deadlines.
• Experience with case management and litigation support.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while staying on top of deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, document preparation, and case management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
