As a pet sitter/dog walker, you’ll be entering clients’ homes and caring for their beloved pets, so honesty and integrity are essential. Reliability and consistency are key, as pets and their owners depend on dependable, on-time care.

As a pet sitter/dog walker, you have the flexibility to create your own schedule and choose the services that fit your availability.

Choose the services that work best for you:

• Mid-day Dog Walkers: Most client demand falls on weekdays. Choose the days and times that work for your schedule.
• Pet Sitters: Flexible scheduling throughout the week and weekends, including overnight visits.
• Bed & Biscuit Sitters: Host client pup(s) in your home.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow client instructions to provide personalized pet care services
• Communicate clearly with pet parents about their pet's care
• Provide attentive, compassionate care for pets, especially dogs of all shapes and sizes
• Handle multiple types of pets and provide individualized attention
• Provide exercise through walks, backyard play, and indoor play
• Be comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions
• Feed pets, refresh water, and administer medications as needed

Qualifications:

• Must live in Western Loudoun County, VA
• Comfortable walking, exercising, and handling pets of various sizes and temperaments
• Prior pet care experience required. Candidates must be able to care for pets independently and professionally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and smartphone
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation:

• Per-visit/commission-based pay. Earnings typically range from $11–$26+ per visit depending on service type. The more visits you accept, the more you earn.
• Earnings based on availability, services accepted, and number of visits completed
