Savannah Bark Babe is a growing, locally trusted pet care business providing in-home pet sitting, overnight stays, drop-in visits, and wedding/event pet attendant services. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable, high-quality care while treating every pet like family. We are currently looking for overnight sitters to support our summer demand.

Role Overview

We are looking for responsible, detail-oriented pet sitters to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, communicates well, is reliable, and can be trusted in clients’ homes. If you already work remotely, and/or are looking to take care of animals full time, this is the perfect job for you!

Sitters are responsible for providing safe, attentive, and professional care while maintaining a clean and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet care including feeding, walking, administering medications (if applicable), and companionship
• Follow detailed care instructions for each pet and household
• Maintain a clean and tidy home throughout the stay
• Send regular updates, photos, and videos to clients via Time to Pet app
• Monitor pet behavior and report any concerns promptly
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times
• Represent Savannah Bark Babe in a professional and friendly manner

Overnight Sitting Expectations

• Sitters are allowed to come and go from the client's home as needed throughout the day
• Must be available to let dogs out every 3–4 hours (unless otherwise specified by the client)
• Must sleep overnight in the client’s home for the duration of the stay
• Ensure pets maintain their normal routine and feel comfortable while their owners are away

The Bark Babe Promise

At the end of every overnight stay, sitters are expected to leave the home in excellent condition by:

• Washing and resetting bed sheets (unless otherwise instructed)
• Cleaning and putting away any dishes used
• Washing, drying, and resetting towels used during the stay

Services You May Support

• Overnight pet sitting (at the home during the day, sleeping at the home overnight)
• Drop-in visits (30, 45 or 60 minute blocks)
• Wedding and event pet attendant services

Requirements

• Prior pet care experience (professional or personal)
• Strong communication and reliability (arriving on time, timely response to messages)
• Ability to follow instructions and handle multiple pets
• Comfortable administering medications (or willing to learn)
• Reliable transportation (no public transportation)
• Must pass a background check
• Ability to work independently

Compensation

• Percentage-based pay per booking (details discussed during onboarding)
• Sitters keep 100% of tips
• Opportunities for additional earnings during peak seasons and holidays

House Rules & Expectations

• No guests allowed in client homes
• No drug or alcohol use during sits
• No use of client property beyond what is needed for the stay
• No dog parks or interactions with unfamiliar animals
• No feeding pets human food unless explicitly instructed
• Maintain professionalism at all times
