Pet Sitter/ Dog Walker in the Henderson Area

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care for dogs during their walks and all pets in their care. This role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of our furry clients while maintaining a positive relationship with their owners. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for managing multiple dogs at once, adhering to scheduled walks, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Manage multiple dogs at once, ensuring they are leashed and under control.
• Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues during walks.
• Provide basic training commands to ensure good behavior while walking.
• Maintain cleanliness by picking up after dogs during walks.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that arise.
• Provide updates to pet owners through messages or photos during walks.
• Ensure all equipment, such as leashes and harnesses, is in good condition before use.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
• Experience in veterinary settings or knowledge of animal health is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Experience in dog handling, including restraint techniques when necessary.
• Background in pet sitting or working in kennels is advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
