Pharmacist in Charge

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy practices, medication management, and a commitment to patient safety. This role if for a new Pharmacy.

Duties

• Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
• Provide medication counseling to patients, educating them on proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring that medications are stocked appropriately and expired products are removed.
• Prepare and compound medications as necessary, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive medical management plans for patients.
• Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing, record keeping, and inventory management.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic results.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and stay updated on pharmacy laws and regulations.

Skills

• Completion of a Pharmacy residency is preferred but not required.
• Strong skills in inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Proficiency in Laws regulations and protocols.
• Excellent medication administration skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care through effective communication and empathy.
• Knowledge of compounding medications as per established guidelines.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for efficient workflow management.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
