Pharmacy Assistant

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring patient safety, providing drug information and counseling, and complying with legal and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately as per doctor’s orders
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and allergies
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage
• Maintain proper records of drugs dispensed and inventory
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and safety guidelines
• Monitor drug expiry dates and manage stock efficiently
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff when required
• Handle billing, insurance, and documentation (if applicable)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm)
• Registered with the State Pharmacy Council
• Valid license to practice
