Job Summary and Qualifications

The Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy, pharmacy operations, and team members to ensure safe and effective medication availability, distribution, storage, security and control. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:

• You will ensure receiving, ordering, and prompt distribution of all medication within the facility, reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for code carts/safety stock as well as all other stocking locations including automated dispensing cabinets.
• You will also create, facilitate and enforce policies and procedures, quality assurance and regulatory compliance in conjunction with technicians and key stakeholders.
• You will fulfill departmental responsibilities within the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of the division and hospital, complying with all regulatory standards.
• You will work with the facility Chief Operating Officer and Director of Pharmacy to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
• Knowledgeable and proficient in the legal responsibilities of the pharmacist to the facility and all state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services required
• 3 years acute care hospital, supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience leading offsite locations of acute care hospitals preferred
• Current Pharmacist license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy required
