Duties

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage medication intake and ensure proper documentation
• Support patient care by providing medication information and answering questions
• Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique for IV infusions and other parenteral therapies
• Maintain inventory levels, stock medications, and ensure proper storage conditions
• Follow all safety protocols related to medication handling and patient confidentiality
• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and hospital policies
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers

Experience

• Prior pharmacy technician experience is required, preferably within LTC pharmacy or hospital environments
• Critical care experience is a strong plus, especially related to acute care settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques is essential
• Experience with IV infusion preparation and sterile compounding is highly desirable
• Familiarity with hospital procedures, patient service protocols, and intake processes will be advantageous
• Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
