Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision, this role helps to maintain the workflow, inventory, billing and other pharmacy processes.Essential Job Function

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
• Assists in inventory maintenance.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Helps mentor employees through training and orientation processes.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Delivers quality customer service to every patient.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Required: 2 years

• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
