Pickles Packing Supervisor - Contractual

Job Purpose

To oversee and execute the packing of Pickle products in line with the weekly production schedule whilst adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Supervise packing processes and procedures as directed by the Pickles Production Manager, ensuring accurate and efficient performance of daily packing operations in adherence to established methods and quality standards
• Track and monitor the PM and FG incoming and dispatch movement. Keep tracking of all the PM incoming as per shared reservations.
• Maintain a track record of all the material incoming Vs. requirements
• Supervise the CP activity as and when required.
• Ensure the timely availability of packing materials and resources by overseeing the stock of necessary equipment and materials
• Conduct regular walkthroughs for firsthand observations, and initiate random sampling for leakage, weighing, and printing checks
• Train and coach both new and existing packing team members on the efficient and safe use of machinery and equipment
• Ensure that Packing Assistants adhere to food and industrial safety and personal hygiene standards as specified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO),
• Goods Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS)
• Ensure that Packing Assistants wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Address and troubleshoot issues related to packing machinery functionality and other operational challenges, maintaining a log of recurrent issues and their solutions to serve as a reference
• Act as the primary contact for reporting pickle packing processes both internally and externally, ensuring timely and accurate updates for stakeholders
• Participate actively in both internal and external audit processes, providing essential data and insights related to the packing processes
• Keep abreast with the latest developments in production, packing, and operations to ensure NFL maintains a best practice approach at all times
  
  

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

DAE degree in relevant discipline with 3-5 years of experience
