Piling Foreman - Piling Industry Experience

The Piling Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the piling crew in driving and installing piles for the foundation of construction projects. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. The Piling Foreman works closely with site engineers, contractors, and project managers to meet deadlines, manage resources, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Piling Crew: Oversee the activities of the piling crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Work Planning and Coordination: Plan and schedule daily piling operations, including equipment setup, pile driving, and material handling, in coordination with project managers and engineers.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring all team members use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site-specific safety protocols. Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks regularly.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew to ensure that piles are installed correctly and in line with project specifications, blueprints, and engineering requirements.
  • Equipment Oversight: Supervise the setup and operation of piling rigs, cranes, and other machinery. Ensure equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and inspected regularly for operational safety.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during piling operations, such as ground conditions, equipment malfunctions, or alignment problems. Collaborate with engineers and other site personnel to find solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of work progress, materials used, equipment hours, and any incidents. Provide regular updates to project managers and site supervisors.
  • Crew Training and Development: Train crew members on proper piling techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation. Mentor less experienced workers and promote teamwork on-site.
  • Communication: Liaise with project engineers, inspectors, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any concerns related to piling operations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of pile driving techniques and equipment operation (e.g., pile drivers, cranes)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices for construction sites
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with the crew and site management
  • Proficient in managing schedules, deadlines, and resources effectively

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); further technical or vocational training in construction or engineering is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in piling operations or heavy construction, with 2+ years in a supervisory role

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Piling Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
