Role Overview

GSO Qatar is seeking a Piping / Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to handle measurement, estimation, cost verification, and progress tracking for mechanical and piping works. The ideal candidate will have extensive Oil & Gas experience and strong understanding of piping systems, fabrication, and site installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify piping and mechanical quantities from drawings and project documentation.
• Develop BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates for mechanical packages.
• Validate contractor progress claims, invoices, and variations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site construction teams.
• Maintain quantity logs, records, and documentation for audits and reporting.
• Support preparation of monthly progress and commercial reports.
• Ensure project compliance with contractual and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as a Mechanical/Piping QS in Oil & Gas projects (Qatar/GCC preferred).
• Strong understanding of piping isometrics, GA drawings, and fabrication standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
