Planning and QS Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning and Quantity Survey Engineer to join our dynamic MEP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and quantity surveying for large-scale MEP projects. This position requires coordination with project managers, engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare project resource histograms, cash flow, and S-curves.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prepare interim payment applications, variations, and claims.
• Review subcontractor invoices and coordinate with procurement and finance teams.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to management.
• Support cost control measures and value engineering exercises.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and site teams on planning and cost-related matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within an MEP contracting environment.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
• Sound knowledge of MEP systems and construction methods.
• Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract conditions is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
