SUMMARY - A Planning Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the necessary materials and components are available to meet production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Analyze demand forecasts, create and maintain material plans. Coordinate with procurement and production teams using MRP/ERP systems to track material usage and delivery timelines. Minimize delays, prevent shortages or excess inventory, and ensure a smooth flow of materials through the supply chain.

Material Requirements Planning:
· Develop and maintain accurate material requirement plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
· Coordinate with the production team to ensure that material and components requirements align with production needs and timelines.
Inventory Management:
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
· Analyze physical inventory with system records and report discrepancies.
Production Scheduling Support:
· Work closely with the production team to support efficient scheduling and timely availability of raw materials for production.
· Adjust material orders as necessary based on changes in production demand or customer orders.
· Follow up on material shortages, delivery delays, and quality issues to resolve problems promptly.
Data Management & Reporting:
· Use MRP/ERP reporting to monitor material usage, inventory levels, and production schedules.
· Prepare and deliver reports on material requirements, order status, and inventory levels for management review.
Forecasting & Demand Planning:
· Analyze historical data and future forecasts to improve material planning accuracy and reduce lead times.
Process Improvement:
· Continuously monitor material planning processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
· Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in material flow, inventory control, and production processes.
QUALIFICATIONS - Demonstrated experience with material planning, warehouse operations, or receiving operations
· Excellent knowledge of material planning and quality control principles.
· Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
· High school diploma; further education or certification is preferred.
· Working knowledge of ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning).
· A degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
