Planning Engineer

Planning engineers determine and develop the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects. It is the responsibility of the planning engineer to estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project specifications.
  • Understanding and meeting all contract requirements, review drawings, specifications and BOQ for developing Projects schedules.
  • Interact with the project team to define the scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from the original plan.
  • Preparing, Monitoring and tracking project Programs, resources, weekly reports.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
  • Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
  • Assist project team in developing status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Solid experience in Preparing Notice letters and EOT Claims

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering/equivalent from a recognized University
  • Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the related field
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 & MS Office.
  • Communicating skills with projects teams.
  • Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • UAE Driving License is a must.
