Planning Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely project delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6/MS Project).
• Develop baseline programs and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
• Monitor project progress and report deviations against planned schedules.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Identify critical paths, delays, and potential risks, recommending recovery plans where needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project targets are achieved.
• Support in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and project requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project planning tools (Primavera P6 and MS Project).
• Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and resource planning.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
