About Your Team

Reporting directly to the Planning Manager , you will collaborate with construction, design, procurement, and project management teams. Your role will involve maintaining planning data, producing progress reports, identifying risks, and advising on schedule variances to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.


Your Role

As a Planning Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain and update project planning databases using Primavera P6.
  • Develop detailed work schedules in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor project performance and resource allocation across the life cycle.
  • Identify potential delays, advise on mitigation strategies, and support risk management.
  • Produce programme data to support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and performance dashboards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure alignment with their scope and programmes.
  • Conduct time studies and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure planning processes align with ALEC’s health, safety, and quality standards.
  • This is a full-time position, working Monday to Saturday—standard for project-based roles in our industry.


    What We’re Looking For

    Experience:

    5+ years in project planning, ideally within construction or infrastructure environments.


    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experience with EOT claim preparation (desirable).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Strong coordination and multitasking skills in high-pressure environments.


    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
