Planning Engineer

Job Summary

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. The role involves coordination with project teams, tracking progress, analyzing delays, and supporting project control functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path activities
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams
• Support cost control, resource planning, and cash flow forecasting
• Analyze variances and propose corrective actions
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning inputs
• Ensure planning standards and project control procedures are followed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in project planning
• Good understanding of project management principles
• Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and resource loading
