Planning engineer develops the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects.

He is involved throughout the development stages, and is present on site during the build to oversee procedures.

It is the responsibility of the planning engineer to estimate a timescale for a project in coordination with the project management and site team, and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met.

He works closely with site managers and other engineers to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.

Have a better understanding of the scope and sequencing of the work in timely manner.

Ensuring plans meet the client’s specifications.
-
Maintaining and updating the construction schedules and plans.
-
Participating in creating schedule baseline with senior planning engineer.

Participating in creating the recovery plan with Senior planning engineer.
-
Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.

Monitoring work progress.

Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
-
Preparing status report with Senior planning engineer.
-
Preparing two weeks lookahead plan for site team.
-
Attending weekly meetings and working on maintaining the agreed dates.
-
Liaising with site managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise after coordinating with Senior planning engineer.

Participating in preparing the internal and external presentations with Senior planning engineer.

Preparing the progress sheet for the invoices with the site manager and Senior planning engineer
Qualifications and Experience

BSc in any engineering.
-
PMP is preferred
-
6 to 8 years experiences, minimum 3-4 years’ experience as a site planning engineer
-
Experience with Electrical Substations and Civil construction is added advantage.
Language, Skills and Competencies
-
Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.

Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
-
P6 is Must.
-
Excel is Must.
-
Power BI is preferable.
