Responsibly

  • Planning engineer develops the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects.
  • He is involved throughout the development stages, and is present on site during the build to oversee procedures.
  • It is the responsibility of the planning engineer to estimate a timescale for a project in coordination with the project management and site team, and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met.
  • He works closely with site managers and other engineers to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.
  • Have a better understanding of the scope and sequencing of the work in timely manner.
  • Ensuring plans meet the client’s specifications.
  • Maintaining and updating the construction schedules and plans.
  • Participating in creating schedule baseline with senior planning engineer.
  • Participating in creating the recovery plan with Senior planning engineer.
  • Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.
  • Monitoring work progress.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Preparing status report with Senior planning engineer.
  • Preparing two weeks lookahead plan for site team.
  • Attending weekly meetings and working on maintaining the agreed dates.
  • Liaising with site managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise after coordinating with Senior planning engineer.
  • Participating in preparing the internal and external presentations with Senior planning engineer.
  • Preparing the progress sheet for the invoices with the site manager and Senior planning engineer


Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc in any engineering.
  • PMP is preferred
  • 6 to 8 years experiences, minimum 3-4 years’ experience as a site planning engineer
  • Experience with Electrical Substations and Civil construction is added advantage.

Language, Skills and Competencies


  • Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
  • Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
  • P6 is Must.
  • Excel is Must.
  • Power BI is preferable.
