Planning Engineer

We're Hiring! Planning Engineer – Bartawi General Contracting

Location: Emaar Business Park Building 4- Dubai

Role Summary

Proficient in Project Planning and Control for our multiple High Rise Buildings (Unlimited Floors) and Luxuries Villas Projects. Build robust baselines, track real progress, surface risks early, and lead defensible delay/EOT analyses to keep delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain logic-driven Primavera P6 baselines, Tender Schedules, and updates.
Resource/cost-load CPM programs; produce S-curves and histograms,.
Establish Project Management System (PMS) physical weightage in P6.
Generate Weekly, Monthly Reports and executive dashboards.
Track progress, productivity, and EVM; run variance & critical-path analysis and drive recovery plans.
Lead delay analysis (TIA, windows, as-planned vs as-built, collapsed as-built) to prepare EOT recommendations and issue early notice of delays.
Develop cash-flow forecasts and time–cost scenarios.
Coordinate with PM, Site, QS/Contracts, Procurement, and Document Control to align milestones and deliverables.
Maintain risk register and mitigation actions; ensure records are audit-ready.
Ensure compliance with contract conditions (FIDIC or similar), submittal schedules, and reporting standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
5+ years in project controls/planning within the UAE construction/engineering sector.
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel (pivot tables; Power Query/Macros a plus).
Solid grasp of EVM, resource/cost loading, progress measurement, and forecasting.
Strong Understanding of Construction Methodology and Authority Approvals in Dubai-UAE.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Knowledge of FIDIC (entitlement, notices, EOT) or similar contract frameworks.
Fluent in Written & Spoken English
