Results-driven Planning & Testing Engineer responsible for developing, updating, and coordinating System Test schedules in alignment with subsystem sequencing and overall project timelines. Manages daily and weekly testing programs, establishes System Testing & Commissioning reference configurations, monitors testing anomalies, and compiles documentation for the Taking Over Certificate. Actively contributes to the preparation and control of Construction, Working, Recovery, and Short-Term Look Ahead Programs using Primavera P6, while supporting progress monitoring across engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Ensures timely reporting of critical issues, prepares performance reports and KPIs, and supports project management through accurate scheduling, data analysis, and structured reporting frameworks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Draw up and update the System Test schedule, considering the constraints of the Subsystems sequencing and needs.
Draw up the daily and weekly test schedule, considering the project test schedule (rail and Gantt).
Establish the System Testing & Commissioning reference configuration.
Monitor the status of testing anomalies.
Collect all the test data needed to draw up the Taking Over Certificate file.
Participate in the preparation of Construction Program, Working Program, Recovery Program, Short Term Look ahead Program as and when required using Primavera P6 software.
Participate in the preparation of various reporting formats setting the project reporting criteria.
Participate in monitoring and controlling the progress of key activities included under engineering, procurement, construction, phases; collection of data and updating of Projects Schedules (Baseline, Construction, Short Term Look ahead Program) using Primavera P6 Software.
Awareness of all the critical issues, which affects the progress of the work and reporting of these in a timely manner to Project Management.
Participate in the coordination and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports and preparation of Key Performance Indicators for all main trades / activities and cost centers as required.

Qualifications/Experience required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Masters/MBA or PMP is a plus.

Experience:

+2 years’ experience in the Planning Department within Rail/Construction, or similar field.
Must be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible/controversial projects
Capable of managing multiple high-priority assignments
Very good interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with staff, officials and stakeholders and to resolve complaints
Very good analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
Reading comprehension to understand technical and legal materials.
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management
Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage and conduct in-person and virtual public participation activities, meetings and hearings

Language Requirements:

Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus.
