Planning Engineer

Job Purpose:

The ideal candidate will develop, manage, and optimize maintenance plans and schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources, timely execution of maintenance activities, and full alignment with service level agreements (SLAs). The role supports operational performance by providing structured planning, performance analysis, and effective coordination across technical disciplines using CAFM and planning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate service requests to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company scope.
• Develop short-term and long-term maintenance schedules using CAFM and planning tools.
• Prioritize maintenance activities based on criticality, risk, and operational requirements.
• Plan and allocate resources including manpower, labor hours, materials, spare parts, and tools.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Soft Services, Specialized Systems).
• Monitor work progress and analyze schedule adherence and performance metrics.
• Identify delays, deviations, and resource constraints and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are executed within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Prepare dashboards and periodic planning and performance reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and asset reliability.
• Act as the key interface between operations, maintenance control, and stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance planning or facilities management environment.
• Experience using CAFM systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of planning tools.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.
• Good command of Arabic and English.
