Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Planning Engineer with a strong background in solar power plant projects to join our dynamic team in Hafar Al Batin, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling renewable energy projects, with hands-on expertise in utility-scale solar PV installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning tools.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely progress of all project activities.

Monitor progress, identify delays, and propose mitigation plans to ensure project milestones are met.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.

Analyze schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure all planning activities comply with the project’s contractual obligations.

Support the Project Manager in project tracking and reporting.

Participate in project meetings and interface with clients, consultants, and contractors as required.

Maintain proper documentation of schedule changes and updates.

Assist in resource planning, forecasting, and manpower histograms.

Ensure planning and scheduling alignment with the overall project execution plan.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in planning and scheduling renewable energy projects, preferably solar power plants.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with EPC project life cycle and reporting tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Willingness to relocate and work in Hafar Al Batin, Saudi Arabia on a full-time basis.

Knowledge of Saudi Arabian regulations and standards in the energy sector is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP Certification or equivalent project management training.

Experience with large-scale solar PV (utility scale) and grid connection processes.

Previous work experience in KSA or GCC region.

Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
