Planning Engineer

Job Title: Planning Engineer

Job Overview:

The Planning Engineer will manage project schedules, coordination and client billing activities for the company’s EPC projects. The role includes preparing schedules, monitoring progress, preparing bills, and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The candidate will work closely with the site, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to support smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Prepare and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Develop progress measurement tools such as S-curves and dashboards.
  • Track project milestones and highlight delays or risks.

Billing & Documentation:

  • Prepare and verify client bills based on site progress.
  • Support variation orders/ claims.
  • Maintain proper documentation for billing and audits.

Reporting & Coordination:

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and site teams.
  • Provide schedule-related inputs for decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project planning.
  • Experience in EPC, oil & gas, utilities, or construction projects preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of billing procedures, reporting, and documentation.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Oil & Gas: 7 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • PMP, RMP, and PMI-SP (Preferred)
