Job Description: Planning Engineer

Location: UAE

Project Type: Roads, Bridges, Utilities & Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules for roads, bridges, infrastructure, and utility projects using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Prepare baseline programs, detailed construction schedules, and resource-loaded programs.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, and prepare recovery/mitigation plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including progress curves (S‑curves), look-ahead schedules, and delay analysis.
• Coordinate with construction, procurement, QS, and project teams to ensure alignment with the approved program.
• Analyze critical paths and highlight potential risks affecting project timelines.
• Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and variations with proper planning records and reports.
• Ensure schedules comply with client and authority requirements (RTA / ADM or equivalent).
• Participate in progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in roads, bridges, infrastructure, and utility projects.
• Mandatory experience in infrastructure projects (building-only experience will not be considered).
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Good knowledge of construction methodology for roads, bridges, and utility works.
• Experience in progress measurement, delay analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE authority standards and project procedures.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience on RTA / ADM infrastructure projects
• Immediate or short notice availability
