Planning Engineer – Civil

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer (Civil) to join our team for a major civil construction project located in Dubai.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil construction planning
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
• Strong expertise in project scheduling and progress monitoring
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
• Excellent coordination and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules (baseline and revised programs)
• Prepare work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Establish project milestones and key deliverables
• Prepare resource-loaded schedules

2. Progress Monitoring & Control

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline schedule
• Identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts
• Prepare recovery programs and mitigation plans
• Coordinate with site and technical teams to ensure alignment with schedule

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Generate S-curves, histograms, and performance indicators
• Conduct schedule variance analysis and provide corrective recommendations
• Present planning updates to management and stakeholders

4. Claims & Extension of Time (EOT) Support

• Support preparation of delay analysis and EOT submissions
• Maintain proper planning records for contractual claims
• Assist in evaluating subcontractor schedules and claims

5. Coordination & Compliance

• Ensure schedule alignment with procurement and subcontract activities
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, and QS teams
• Maintain compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements
