Role Summary

The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing the project master schedule. In a high-rise context, you will focus on the synchronization of the "leading edge" (vertical structure) with the "trailing edge" (MEP and facade). You will provide the data-driven insights necessary to prevent bottlenecks in vertical logistics and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities Office-Based Duties

  • Develop and maintain project master schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project
  • Prepare planning deliverables (baseline program, resource loading, cash flow, look-ahead schedules)
  • Coordinate with design, commercial, procurement, and project teams for schedule alignment
  • Generate progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and client review
  • Support contract requirements including EOT analysis and delay impact assessments
  • Monitor KPIs and highlight schedule risks with mitigation strategies
  • Maintain planning documentation and official project correspondence
  • Ensure schedule compliance with company standards and client requirements

Site-Based Duties

  • Monitor daily progress and validate it against the project program
  • Lead planning coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Prepare and update weekly & monthly look-ahead schedules for site execution
  • Track manpower, materials, and equipment utilization on site
  • Identify delays, productivity issues, and propose corrective action plans
  • Conduct schedule impact analysis for site changes and unforeseen conditions
  • Ensure timely submission of planning-related site documents
  • Support the site team with sequencing, work prioritization, and schedule recovery plans

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8–15 years of planning experience in construction projects
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6, scheduling, and project controls
  • Knowledge of Dubai construction regulations and local industry practices
  • Experience handling claims, delays, and EOT support
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently between office strategy and site execution
  • Strong reporting and documentation accuracy

Preferred Experience

  • High-rise building, infrastructure, or mega projects in Dubai/UAE
  • Experience with multinational contractors and client-facing reporting
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contract planning requirements
