Planning Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction/engineering projects
• At least 8 years of experience in project planning and cost control management, preferably in real estate projects
• Experience in Oman/GCC region is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules and baseline programs using Primavera P6 / MS Project
• Monitor and control project progress, ensuring alignment with approved schedules
• Prepare and analyze project progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely planning, execution, and delivery
• Identify potential delays and risks, and propose mitigation and recovery plans
• Manage cost control processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Review contractors’ schedules and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Support project management in decision-making through data analysis and reporting

Technical Requirements:

• Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and project controls
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools
• Solid understanding of construction sequences, methodologies, and resource planning
• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and cost control techniques
• Familiarity with contract requirements (FIDIC or similar standards)

Coordination & Leadership:

• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
• Lead and manage planning engineers and project control teams
• Ensure proper integration between planning, cost, and procurement functions

Reporting & Communication:

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients
• Present project status, risks, and forecasts clearly to stakeholders
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: RO800.000 - RO1,300.000 per month
