Technical Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To plan and coordinate performance assurance related activities with all plants including MIS reporting, monitoring the plant performance of all 4 Power Element (Wind, PV, BESS and Power Transmission) against agreed KPIs, monitoring production and outage planning etc., to ensure consistent and reliable performance of the operating plants.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Plant performance:

Assist the plants in the development of plant specific KPI's for each site and regularly monitor the KPI’s on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, to ensure the plants meet the set operational and financial performance parameters.

Report deviations, record reasons for variance and prepare action plan to close the gaps, in close coordination with each site, to ensure timely corrective action.

Prepare the monthly report highlighting the achievements of KPI targets by all NOMAC Projects, to ensure the senior management is informed.
Maintenance and Outage planning:

Work with the various plant teams to develop a short term & long-term maintenance plan for each of the NOMAC operated plants in the KSA region, to ensure timely and efficient planning.

Develop suitable tools and templates to plan, implement, measure and monitor day to day work progress in terms of outages to ensure deviations are identified, corrective actions suggested and monitored and operational controls are followed.

Ensure the appropriate planning procedures and computerized maintenance management processes are in place as applicable to a prudent maintenance planning regime.

Ensure that all planned and unplanned maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the O&M agreement and the PPA.

Ensure that the maintenance planning ensures to meet availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within the environmental, legal and contractual requirements.
Presentations and management reporting:

Prepare and submit the presentations and reports, for the projects, highlighting all important performance related information to ensure the Board gets all the information required to aid decision making.

Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment:

Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
-
A Bachelor degree holder in Engineering or demonstrable equivalent.

10-12 years’ experience with experience in Power / Utilities industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
:

Experience of performance management and monitoring

Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System, good knowledge of SAP Template desirable).
