The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference, and here’s how the Planning Specialist role will make an impact:


This role will be in charge of supply planning of products and materials. The candidate is expected to use local and global ERP systems, communicate frequently and effectively with related local and global functions, deliver key KPI’S, do effective inventory management and prepare and share reports.

  • Control production planning, capacity, and inventory levels (Pack materials, Raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
  • Create and publish a material requirements plan based on the production schedule
  • Set optimal stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with production or suppliers to align procurement with production schedules.
  • Create purchase orders and manage procurement processes for assigned categories.
  • Track KPIs like inventory turnover, forecast accuracy, purchase price variance, and supplier performance.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions or delays. Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain deviations; define corrective actions.
  • Suggest process improvements to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Review monthly factory targets (absorption, volume, inventory level, stock-out time, operational efficiency).
  • Use MRP and similar tools to manage inventory usage and demand-supply balance.
  • Optimize inventory parameters (order period, safety stock, ABC classification, forecast deviation).
  • Ensure sustainability of supply planning master data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams for new product launches and milestone alignment
  • Supporting SAP and Rapid Response master data activities
  • Supporting CI (Continuous Improvement) implementation, responsible for CI board, working with different team leaders
  • Work closely with internal departments (Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, QA, QC).


About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:


  • University degree preferably in Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or other engineering graduates
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Supply Chain related fields (planning, scheduling, material and production planning role) in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools, 6-sigma Method 2 knowledge is an asset
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain systems, ERP/MRP, forecasting systems (SAP, Rapid Response, etc.)
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills with the ability to establish consensus between functions and operations
  • Strong evidence of problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills
  • Good project management & follow-up
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Willingness and potential for learning and development
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Turkish
  • Strong skills in MS Office®, especially Excel, is required. Usage of MS Access is an asset.
  • Position must be based in Turkey.
