Plant and Machinery Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Plant & Equipment Management

• Supervise the daily operation and deployment of construction plants, machinery, heavy equipment, and vehicles.
• Ensure all equipment is available and operational to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate the mobilization, demobilization, and allocation of equipment across project sites.
• Monitor equipment utilization and recommend improvements to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, usage, and availability.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all plant and machinery.
• Coordinate with workshop teams, mechanics, and external service providers for repairs and servicing.
• Monitor equipment condition and ensure timely maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain service schedules, maintenance logs, and repair histories.
• Ensure spare parts and consumables are available to support maintenance requirements.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Construction Managers regarding equipment requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess equipment performance and operational needs.
• Ensure operators use equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide technical support in resolving equipment-related issues on site.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all plant and machinery comply with company safety standards, UAE regulations, and project requirements.
• Verify that equipment inspections, certifications, and third-party testing are valid and up to date.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Ensure operators hold valid licenses and competency certifications.
• Investigate equipment-related incidents and implement corrective actions.

Cost Control & Resource Management

• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and equipment operating expenses.
• Minimize equipment downtime and unnecessary repair costs.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting plant and machinery requirements.
• Monitor rental equipment performance and utilization.
• Recommend replacement or disposal of obsolete or uneconomical equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of equipment inventories, inspections, maintenance schedules, and utilization reports.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant and machinery reports.
• Track equipment breakdowns and maintenance performance indicators.
• Maintain compliance documentation, certifications, and insurance records.

Team Management

• Supervise plant operators, drivers, mechanics, and support staff.
• Allocate tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Support training and development of plant and machinery personnel.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
