Lead overall plant operations to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient production of power and water. Oversee strategy, people, and performance to maximize plant availability and profitability, while meeting contractual obligations and maintaining compliance with the highest safety and environmental standards.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute plant strategy in alignment with organizational O&M strategy.
  • Provide direction to operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor EPC/OEM performance and oversee root cause analysis for operational issues.
  • Manage a workforce of 100-300 employees, including talent development, recruitment, and succession planning.
  • Control plant budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with revenue and cost targets.
  • Oversee supply chain processes including spares, consumables, and contractor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, IMS certifications, and audit requirements.
  • Represent the plant to stakeholders including the Project Company, Board, shareholders, EPC contractors, lenders, and local authorities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure comprehensive, timely reporting to the Board and project stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent).
  • 15+ years' experience managing large production plants, with significant exposure to power and water desalination projects.
  • Strong techno-commercial acumen with expertise in contracts, agreements, and financial oversight.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience across large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with NOMAC operations, IMS, SAP systems, and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
