Responsible for the overall management and direction of cement manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all operations—including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and environmental and safety compliance—are carried out efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, in line with company goals and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

Operational leadership:
Oversee and manage daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.

Safety and environmental compliance:
Oversee enforcement of a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with all local and Group health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Budget and financial management:
Create and manage the plant's operating and capital expenditure budgets. Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Quality control:
Ensure the cement production meets all quality standards and customer specifications through consistent monitoring and process control.

Maintenance management:
Lead maintenance team to develop and execute effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all plant equipment to minimize downtime and protect assets.

Team leadership and development:
Motivate, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, supervisors, and plant staff. Oversee technical talent acquisition, development and performance management to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Continuous improvement:
Champion and lead initiatives for continuous improvement to optimize processes, increase productivity, and reduce waste.

Strategic planning:
Lead the plant's long-term strategic vision and objectives, including modernization efforts, energy efficiency, and sustainability goals.

Stakeholder relations:
Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Electrical, with an MBA being a plus.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of senior managerial experience within the cement, heavy industry, or similar manufacturing environment; Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex industrial processes.

Technical skills
:

Extensive experience in mechanical upgrades of older mill (including old generation separator) to increase plant capacity.

Proven leadership in Heath, Safety and Environment (HSE).

Extensive mechanical and operational background in mortars and the chemical business.

Thorough knowledge of the cement production process, including its chemistry and quality control parameters

Proficiency with computerized business systems (ERP like SAP), plant automation, and maintenance management systems; Strong financial management and budget control capabilities.
