Duties of a Plumber in Fit-Out Projects

• Installation Works
• Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitary fixtures (toilets, sinks, bathtubs, water heaters, etc.).
• Fit and connect pipes, valves, and fittings according to drawings and specifications.
• Install kitchen, bathroom, and pantry plumbing fixtures during the fit-out stage.
• Testing & Commissioning
• Test water supply and drainage systems for leaks, pressure, and proper functionality.
• Ensure systems comply with local regulations and safety standards.
• Maintenance & Repairs
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Respond to emergency plumbing issues such as blockages, leaks, or burst pipes during and after project execution.
• Coordination
• Work closely with the fit-out supervisor, electricians, and other trades to ensure proper installation sequence.
• Coordinate with contractors and engineers for design changes or technical clarifications.
• Compliance & Safety
• Follow company and site health & safety rules.
• Ensure plumbing installations meet building codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Documentation
• Maintain records of completed installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Assist in preparing reports on plumbing works and materials used.
• Material & Tools Management
• Identify required materials, tools, and equipment for each project stage.
• Ensure proper use and safe storage of plumbing tools and equipment.
