Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Swimming Pool Technician (Electrical & Plumbing) cum Driver to join our Facility Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of swimming pool systems, with a strong focus on electrical and plumbing components to ensure safe and efficient pool operations.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance
- Inspect, operate, and maintain pool electrical systems, including control panels, timers, relays, contactors, and lighting systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in pumps, heaters, chlorinators, dosing systems, and control circuits.
- Ensure proper earthing, bonding, and functionality of ELCB/RCD protection systems.
- Replace faulty electrical components and perform wiring works in accordance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company procedures.
Plumbing Maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and repair pool piping systems, including suction, return, overflow, and drainage lines.
- Install, repair, and replace pumps, filters, valves, fittings, and pipework (PVC, UPVC, HDPE, and PPR).
- Detect and rectify leaks, pressure issues, and flow imbalances.
- Perform backwashing, flushing, and system testing after maintenance activities.
Pool Equipment Maintenance
- Service and maintain pool pumps, filtration systems, heaters, heat pumps, and water features.
- Monitor pool circulation systems, pressure levels, and equipment performance.
- Support chemical dosing system inspections and maintenance when required.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities as per schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and corrective maintenance calls promptly.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all HSE policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ensure safe working practices around water, chemicals, and electrical systems.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
Requirements
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance within Facility Management, hospitality, residential, or commercial environments.
- Strong knowledge of pool electrical systems, pumps, filtration systems, and plumbing networks.
- Valid UAE Driving License (Mandatory).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and plumbing drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor and indoor work environments.
- May require shift work, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
- Exposure to water, pool chemicals, and electrical equipment.
